Sustainability Policy

CocoVolare understands travel as a privilege that should leave a mark on the traveler, not on the destination. This policy gathers our commitments in compliance with Colombian Law 2068 of 2020 and the sectoral technical standard NTS-TS 003 for travel agencies.

Environmental commitments

We prioritize hotels and operators with verifiable sustainability practices, promote itineraries with fewer internal flights when quality alternatives exist (train, scenic road), and operate as a low-footprint company: digital, with no high-consumption offices and no unnecessary printed material.

We reject activities involving animal abuse (elephant rides, wildlife shows, selfies with sedated animals) and the trafficking of flora and fauna, pursuant to Law 17 of 1981 and Resolution 1367 of 2000.

Sociocultural commitments

We design experiences with community guides and hosts, fairly paid. We promote respect for the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of destinations and reject its illegal trade, pursuant to Law 397 of 1997 and Law 1185 of 2008.

We comply with and disclose the regulations on prevention of child sexual exploitation in tourism (Law 679 of 2001 and Law 1336 of 2009) and train our team in their application.

Economic commitments

We favor local suppliers in every destination, especially in Colombia ("Colombia First"), so traveler spending irrigates the economies that host them. We operate with price transparency: the client knows what their proposal includes before paying.

Your role as a traveler

We invite you to travel with curiosity and respect: learn a few words of the local language, pay fair prices, ask before photographing people, do not extract corals, sand or archaeological pieces, and prefer souvenirs made by local artisans.
