Córdoba delivers the Mosque-Cathedral and its geranium-filled courtyards. Granada closes the trip with the Alhambra at sunset, when the sun turns the Nasrid walls red, and dinner in the Albaicín facing the illuminated palace. It is the finale people remember.

Named tickets sell out 2 to 3 months in advance. It is the first thing we lock once dates are confirmed.

Travel by train between cities

Lisbon to Porto and Seville to Córdoba are fast and comfortable by rail. It avoids driving and parking in historic centers.

Dine late, like locals

In Spain and Portugal kitchens open from 8:30 pm. Booking at 9 pm gets you the real atmosphere of the place.

Bring shoes with good soles

Historic centers are cobbled and steep. Comfortable footwear completely changes the day.

Avoid August in Andalusia

Temperatures exceed 40 degrees in Seville and Córdoba. Spring and autumn are clearly superior.

Ask for an inner room in the old town

Pedestrian streets have nightlife. A courtyard-facing room guarantees rest without giving up the location.

When is the best time for this route?

April, May, June, September and October are ideal: mild weather, long days and beautiful light. March and November work well with fewer people. July and August bring strong heat to Andalusia, and in that case the itinerary shifts toward northern Portugal.

How much does this honeymoon cost?

Can we add Madrid or Barcelona?

Yes. Both fit as an opening or closing and connect by high-speed rail. They add two to three nights to the itinerary.

Portugal or Andalusia if we have few days?

With seven nights we recommend choosing one. Portugal works beautifully for a first time in Europe; Andalusia is richer in heritage and has longer nights.

What documents do we need?
